Terms of Use

1.Who provides the service

Carnote is an iPhone app in which a car owner logs expenses and jobs, keeps photos of documents, gets reminders and asks an AI assistant about the car. The service is provided by Ivan Bobrov ("we"). You can reach us at support@carnote.fun.

By installing and using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2.Account

An account is required: you sign in with Apple or Google. We do not create or store passwords. You are responsible for access to your Apple ID or Google account, because they also open Carnote.

An account is meant for one person. Your cars and records are visible only to you, unless you create a public report link yourself.

3.Free plan

Without a subscription you get everything you do by hand: expense and job records, marking jobs done, reminders, statistics, the schedule with generic intervals, the documents folder, car images, plus the first car, the first report export per car, the recognition used when setting up your first car, and one free try-on in the Try-on studio.

4.Carnote Pro subscription

The subscription unlocks the features where the AI works for you, and everything beyond a single car:

• the AI assistant chat about your car;
• recognition of voice, receipts, invoices, documents and the odometer from a photo;
• the second and further cars;
• repeat report exports — links and PDFs;
• AI calculation and recalculation of the service schedule;
• 3 try-ons per month in the Try-on studio.

Price. $3.49 per month or $33.99 per year. The exact price in your currency is shown in the app before purchase and is set by the App Store.

Free trial. The yearly subscription includes 7 days free, the monthly one 3 days. The trial is available once per Apple ID, for one of the plans. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the paid period begins.

Payment and renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the charge occurs within 24 hours before the new period starts.

Cancellation. Manage the subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Refunds. Payments go through the App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple under their rules. We cannot issue a refund ourselves, but we will help you sort it out — write to us.

Fair use. The subscription includes up to 300 AI assistant answers and up to 40 recognitions per calendar month. The counters are visible in the app and reset on the first day of each month. These limits protect the service from excessive load and are not reached in normal use.

5.Try-on studio and attempts

What it is. The Try-on studio shows your car in a different colour or wrap, on different wheels, with window tint and other changes. The picture is created by artificial intelligence from your car’s portrait or from your own photo.

Attempts. One try-on uses one attempt, however many changes it includes. “Another variant” and “Side view” use one more attempt each. If a picture fails because of an error, the attempt is returned.

Where attempts come from:

• 1 free attempt per account, once;
• 3 attempts per calendar month with Carnote Pro — unused ones do not carry over to the next month;
• packs of 10, 30 or 100 attempts.

Attempts are used in this order: the free one first, then the monthly ones from the subscription, then purchased ones.

Attempt packs are one-time App Store purchases, not a subscription. They do not renew, and purchased attempts do not expire. The price in your currency is shown in the app before purchase. Attempts are credited to your Carnote account; they cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for money. If you delete your account, unused attempts are lost. Refunds, as with the subscription, are handled by Apple under their rules.

It is a visualisation. The picture shows roughly how the car could look and is not an exact colour proof: the shade of a wrap or paint, the look of wheels and the level of tint may differ in real life, and the AI sometimes changes small details. Before buying a wrap or wheels, look at real samples.

Your photos. If you try on your own photo, upload only pictures of your own car or ones you have the rights to.

6.Artificial intelligence: an important warning

AI assistant answers, data recognised from photos and calculated service intervals may be inaccurate or wrong. This is reference information, not technical advice.

It does not replace diagnostics, your car’s owner manual or a workshop’s opinion. Base repair, maintenance and safety decisions on the manufacturer’s official documents and on specialists. Check recognised amounts and dates before saving them.

Try-on studio pictures are also made by AI and may not accurately reflect colour, materials and details.

7.Your data and content

Records, photos and other content remain yours. You allow us to store and process them exactly as far as the app needs: to show them to you, to compute statistics, and to send them for recognition and image generation (see the Privacy Policy).

A public report link is created only on your command, works for 30 days and can be revoked by you at any time. Anyone holding the link sees its contents without signing in.

Do not upload other people’s documents or personal data without their consent.

8.What you may not do

• circumvent plan limits, automate requests to the service, or create excessive load;
• upload unlawful content or other people’s personal data without a legal basis;
• attempt to access other people’s accounts or data;
• reproduce, decompile or resell the app or parts of it.

If these rules are broken we may limit or terminate access to the service.

9.Service availability

We aim to keep the app running continuously but do not guarantee it: updates, network failures and limitations of AI providers may cause interruptions. Individual features may change and evolve.

10.Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or decisions made on the basis of reference information from the app, including AI answers.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

11.Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page. We will surface material changes in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new version.

12.Termination

You may stop using the app at any time: delete your account with all its data in the app itself (Profile → Account → Delete account) and cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription: it was bought in the App Store, and auto-renewal is turned off there.

We may discontinue the service, giving reasonable notice in the app.
